Panabhandhu School was founded in 1954 by Un Satrabhandhu and Lamjiag Satrabhandhu who began with kindergarten level classes at first and went on to develop the school further, completing the project in 1955. The school at it's full capacity from Primary 1 to Secondary 6 could house 5,000 students.
